Editing Underway

The edited chapters are trickling in and as soon as they’re all done the work on the quickstart guide will begin. We’ve also begun test filming for The Last Transmission and are hoping to get a lot work done on the series this Sunday. We should know if it will go live or not as soon as we manage to get it through video editing.

The Church of Infinitology

Infinitology is the most widespread religion in the C&D universe. Infinitologists perceive the entire universe as a single living being. Sentient beings that are physical in nature make up the flesh, blood and organs of the void. Creatures that have mastered bio-tech and integrated their bodies with it are of a higher order and constitute the nerves and the impulses.

Almost everyone trusts them implicitly and they act as neutral councillors and mediators. Even though they oppose the massive mining industry, saying that it harms the universe and in the end mankind, they are on good terms with the GIC. They heal, help and mend. They have a tactful and respectful approach to other faiths and the money the church generates is poured into alternative energy- and medical research in order to improve the life of their fellow man.

They almost seem too magnanimous, don’t they…

Still on Course

We’ve been real busy with coordinating the editing and art. At the moment we’re also trying to get the production of our youtube series Last Transmission going. We hope that we’ll be able to launch it in a couple of weeks.

Back to Sirius

The Sirius Galaxy map has been redesigned numerous times but we think we’re homing in on the style we wanna go with. In the world of C&D, the Governmental Industrial Complex decide which systems the citizens are informed of and may travel to. The official GIC galaxy map shows but an iota of all the discovered systems.

Dozens or even hundreds of systems have been mined dry, whole planets reduced to rubble. The E-Class core harvester ships destroy entire worlds so that mankind can thrive. But some say we have gone too far in our ambition and greed. Some say we have awakened something best left alone…

We’re putting the final touches on the beta version of the short story Lost Redemption. It takes place in the restricted and remote Za’keth system. Shortly you’ll be able to get a taste of some of the horrors which resides in the darkest corners of the Sirius Galaxy.

Profiling a Behemoth

Creating deckplans for the smaller C-class ships is one thing but doing it for a 2,000 meter long planet harvester E-class mining ship is something entirely different. So we decided to go with the cross section alternative. Even this is a lot of work but being able to have an overview of one of these beasts of the void is absolutely necessary as they are settings unto themselves. So off to the drawing board it is!
